Revolution Void - Birth Of Afro Space Team

A cold rain has set in on this Sunday morning...what better time to refresh my music library with some Revolution Void

I have always appreciated what Jonah Dempcy brings to the table with his jazzy electronic lounge sound. The combination of instruments marks his sound as unique on the CC landscape.

This track features Yuriko Miyamoto on keyboards. It is from a collection called Let 1,000 Flowers Bloom. A BSWC favorite from back in the day was a release called Increase the Dosage.

Jonah has been working the the Revolution Void concept since he was 12 in 1995. I turned on in 2005 and it is wonderful to see the evolution and continuity over the years.

BSWC One-a-Day: Revolution Void - Obscure Terrain

Obscure Terrain is the name of the tune, Revolution Void is the name of project and Jonah Dempcy is behind it all. Obscure Terrain is contained in a marvelous release called Increase the Dosage.

Jonah has done a good job getting this material out there with 13,000 downloads in 2006 from sites like archive.org and Jamendo.

The sound is a mix of jazz and electronic sounds that really pulls together into a smooth and groovy mix.

Here is a snip from Alex Young's Milieu blog about the release:
Increase the Dosage combines breakbeat and melodic electronica in a charming way that makes for something not only worth listening to, but also something you’ll keep coming back to for years to come.
That is a good point. Jonah has really put together some stick-to-your-ribs music. It is easy to see myself coming back to this release in 5 to 10 years and grooving again.
