I've been mulling over whether to post this track since its release 3 days ago. I guess the test of time is true, it is still haunting me, and needs to be purged to the blog!! The track is the title track from a release by adrián juárez and ilia named shells on the netlabel Stigae Records. Stigae is from Berlin, Germany. They have a relatively sparse site but pleasing site, no about us, but they are part of the network buffer for contemporary art provided by EXPEREMENT.org.
Vaguely reminiscent of tubular bells, this piece has several themes repeating over and under each other. The melody (or what I am calling the melody) threads itself between the repetitions, supported by a fairly reserved bass line. You will like!
