Jovem Palerosi - Deuses Mutados (feat. Independência ou Marte)

Today we feature a fine release from our friends at Bump Foot.

The release is called Mouseen and was released last August.

Jovern Palerosi found some wonderful Brazilian artists to sample and these seven tracks are the result.

One of the tracks features Chico Correa who has a fantastic release on Bump Foot and has been featured on these pages before.

Shin Wada - Scene #1 "Do You Know What The Scariest Thing Is?"

Bump Foot has always been an interesting place to dig, quite a number of picks from past posts and shows have been from either the Bump or the Foot side of this Japanese net label formed as far as I can tell, in 2005.  Bump focuses on techno and house while foot does everything else. Collectively, this netlabel boasts a 441 releases to date!

This pick is from the release A Fictional Movie Soundtrack [foot240] by Shin Wada from late February.  It is beautiful classical ambient, each track transitioning beautifully into the next. Apart from Bump Foot, Shin Wada (hailing from Japan) has a soundcloud page and numerous other web locations (bandcamp, etc) primarily highlighting this release. Shin Wada seems fairly new on the scene - certainly a welcome addition!!

Since the whole release is a single composition, I am posting the first track... make sure to download the rest for a journey we are all lucky to have for free.

Oh, and as for getting things back on track with one-a-day (yup, Biotic and Subsystem7 have fallen a bit behind... call it Spring fever here in New England) we'll be catching up with any missed days under the "oops" tag.

Have yourself a sonicful day.

Möbius - Daft Funk

This track comes from a Various Artists compilation released on the Foot side of the wonderful netlabel, Bumpfoot. The release is called Footprints 2 and hit the streets on April 21, 2012.

Möbius is from Germany and first began to develop musical chops during his gaming sessions using an Amiga 500 in his childhood.

He describes his music on his Facebook page:
My music can be described as a mixture of Amiga MOD-music, pop, chillout, some breaks, hard basses and a lot of atmosphere.
The netlabel Bumpfoot has been on the scene for many years now and features both "bump" releases and "foot" releases.  Both categories have many excellent releases.  Footprints 2 is a good starting point to explore the Bumpfoot universe.

Lavoura - Camaragibe

This tune was just released yesterday by the Bump Foot netlabel.  The artists are from Sao Paolo, Brazil. It is a quartet with some serious backend production.

The music has a nice flow and this tune fits easily into my lounge playlist.

We learn this about the artists from Jamendo:
Strong advocates of promoting their music for download on the internet and have contributed music to such websites as Fiberonline, Myspace, and CCMixter where all music can be remixed and sampled under a Creative Commons license.
Short post today...I don't really have anything else on the artists.  They have stuff up at Free Music Archive and Soundcloud

Kleinwaechter - Far Out In Space

Over the years we have had two recurring themes on this site.  One is sex and the other is space (robots, technology, etc).  This tune was released on BSWC favorite, Bump Foot.  It was releases in April 2014.

Billed as Old School Trance, this tune fits the bill for the latter theme.  yay!

Kleinwaechter has been working and recording since 1986:
Currently active with Dusk to Dawn Synthpop band, M & D Project and solo performances under various names. Uses analogue hardware and modular synthesizers, records them in a live session in his studio.
Enjoy the day.

Malefics - Dumbia Solitaria

Sounds like a very cool project out of Mexico.  The Foot side of the Bump Foot netlabel dropped this on the 21st.  Apparently, this is an audio selection from the audio/visual project that is Malefics.

Dumbia Solitaria translates as lonely Dumbia....sounds sad.

Consistency is a somewhat rare commodity on the internet and Bump Foot has it.  This the 234th release from the Foot side alone.  They pre-date this blog and here we are...BSWC has gone to the well with both sides of this wonderful netlabel.

Here is the skinny on Malefics from Bump Foot's site:

Malefics is an audiovisual project from Mexico, a hybrid between electronic and different Latin American rhythms with videomapping projections. Once You Go Malefics You'll Never Go Back is an album which shows us their style, a mix of electronic, rock, and latin sounds.

Time to go explore what Bump Foot has been doing the last few years. Enjoy.

Jupiter Makes Me Scream - Alinai

Here is something new from the Foot side of the Bump Foot netlabel. Bump Foot is a netlabel based in Japan that has two sides. One is the Bump which features music that is more uptempo and beat oriented. The Foot side of the label is more laid back and relaxing. This is what we find with Jupiter Makes Me Scream.

The release is called Tuesday Morning Hurricane EP and was posted at archive.org on Sunday, July 6th.

It took me a couple listens to catch up with the beauty of these five tunes. I picked one to share, but I recommend listening to the complete release in order. They work with and compliment each other.

Tuesday Morning Hurricane EP was produced by Karolis Buržinskas. He is the Lithuanian behind Jupiter Makes Me Scream.

Enjoy this release.

BSWC One-a-Day: D.Soul - Morning Caffeine

Admitedly I expected something slightly different from a track titled morning caffeine but after listening to it a few times, I started to feel like maybe it was perfect. After all, that first cup of coffee relaxes, inspires, and finally charges you up. Another well put together release from the Japanese Netlabel Bump Foot, D. Soul's Silk EP delivers a deep and minimal sound. Clean, but not sterile - the little glitches help with that.

D. Soul, aka Daniel Tischer, is a German based artist/dj/producer who founded the netlabel tropic. He has release tow other EPs on Bumpfoot, Mad Morning EP and Ocean EP - both from 2006.

enjoy.

BSWC One-a-Day: Flu - Alien Brasil

On the heels of his second release comes his second release....huh?

Bump Foot presents Flu's first album after releasing his second...still confused?

No problem. It's all cool. Check this one out. Loving Flu.

The release is called ...e a Alegria Continua [foot054].

Flu is one of my favorite artists of the summer. The music is simply amazing. So much great stuff happening in the southern hemisphere.

BSWC One-a-Day: Flu - A Vez do Brasil

What a find! Thank you, Starfrosch!

From the ever prolific, Bump Foot comes this delightful release, No Flu do Mundo [foot053].

This one is hard to categorize...aren't they all. I leave it to the liner notes:
People have said that Flu makes samba pop, that he is psychedelic, or that he is modern. Words are not always the most exact way of defining sounds. Flu's new record is something to be listened to and tasted in all its richness before it is labeled or thrown into one of the many preconceived pigeon-holes of pop culture classification.
Go get all thirteen tracks...this one is a keeper.

BSWC One-a-Day: Funkatron - Stoppin my Mind

Just recovering from the bump fest that was BSWC-The Show last night. Wow, I was out for a couple of weeks and the show just leapt out of control...a real bump fest.

Only appropriate then that I post something from Bump Foot, the Japanese netlabel the very next morning. Say hello to Funkatron.

Funkatron is from Slovakia. The release is called Space EP. Laying down a sort of minimal house sound with some serious bump. Just continuing on from where I was last night. (BSWC 4.28.07 should be posted today, I hope). [update 4.29.07 9:38 AM: Unfortunately, both of my recording events failed, so I have about 14 minutes of the show. I won't bother posting it. Sorry.]

BSWC One-a-Day: Chico Correa & Electronic Band - Bossinha (Aquilez Remix)

If you haven't already figured it out I'm here to tell you that Bump Foot is a phenomenal netlabel. My tastes tend more towards the "foot" side of the operation...there you have it.

Chico Correa and Electronic Band put this net gem out last October. I missed it then, but sniffing around Bump Foot these last few days turned it up.

These guys are from Brazil and lay down a nice fusion of sounds.

BSWC One-a-Day: Uniquetunes - Bitch City Grooves

From the "Foot" Side of Bump Foot comes a wonderful collection by Uniquetunes. This brand new release (April 21, 2007), Inner Smile Volume 2 [foot042] follows an earlier volume that was released by Red Netlabel.

The release consists of Uniquetunes' unreleased, strange and never-heard-before material and there are some real gems here, one of which we present as today's One-a-Day.

BSWC One-a-Day: radio SSB - Once You Know

Fresh tunes from the Netlabel, Bump Foot. This release by radio SSB was released overnight and features a sort of techno-powerpop sound. The collection is entitled And Right Now [bump031].

Tatsu curates the sound at Bump Foot, a Japanese netlabel that has quite a number of classic net releases to its credit. Bumpfoot is organized into two sections: bump which features techno and house; and foot, supplying ambient, IDM, electro pops, etc.

Tatsu's day job is with Japanese Internet Radio "Radio307.com". He has this to say about radio SSB:
"I was impressed by their sound, this must be one of the most splendid release! A collection of radio SSB tunes for free download. 13 tracks of trance-pop flavour for dance music lovers and others..."
Say hello to Bumpfoot and radio SSB.
