I love following a Coconut Monkey Rocket post with fantasmagorical exotica. From WMRecordings, Thiaz Itch released El baile de los fantasmas WM059 on March 5th. For reasons not completely clear to me They post this album as:
"a collection of horror and frightening musics from 2005 to 2007. It blends dark ambient and ghostly beats together, recounting a phantasmal stunning story."
El baile de los fantasmas works very well as a complete composition. It begins with Heute Mplon, a 1 minute intro reminiscent of both The Nutcracker and March to the Scaffold, the 4th movement of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. But it's not done yet, the album mixes low fi electonic sounds with haunting melodies and fast moving beats.
